1. Protection for the Camera Module
The Camera bump is so significant on iPhone 12 and 12 Pro that you can’t even lay it flat on its back. If you’re not someone who uses a case on their iPhone, you should get this little tempered glass protector, just for the Camera Module. It would prevent your camera lenses from getting scratched so that your image quality doesn’t take a hit.
2. USB Type C to Type A Adapter
The internet went crazy when Apple included a Type C to Lightning Cable with the iPhone 12 series phones and no charger. While most people already own chargers that have a Type-A port, it makes little sense to buy a new charger. This tiny adapter plugs into your regular charger with a Type-A port and lets you charge your iPhone, with the Type-C cable. It’s pretty handy.
3. Reverse Wallet Case
Wallet Cases are useful accessories that allow you to store your cards and cash in the iPhone case itself. This reverse wallet case cleverly puts the wallet part to the back of the iPhone which makes it convenient to use your iPhone. As the wallet part is never hanging loose, your belongings stay secure. It’s a nifty design and comes in four colors: Blue, Rose Gold, Red, and Black.
4. MagSafe PopSocket
Popsockets are a commitment as you have to either glue them to the back of your iPhone or the case. With MagSafe’s modular approach, manufacturers can create accessories that can be securely attached and then released without any residue. This magnetic pop socket cleverly takes a regular pop socket and glues it to a MagSafe magnet module that you just attach to the back of any iPhone 12. However, I would like to mention that the magnets on these are not as strong as the traditional glue based pop sockets so keep that in mind.
5. PopSocket with MagSafe Wallet
As you might have guessed, this accessory solves two problems with one product. As far as MagSafe accessories go, you can only attach one accessory at a time, except if you use a MagSafe Case. This ingenious design puts a MagSafe wallet and a PopSocket to the back of your iPhone 12 in a modular fashion. You get the option to put both the wallet and the PopSocket or just the PopSocket with the provided MagSafe attachment.
6. MagSafe Phone Stand for iPhone 12
The problem with the MagSafe puck that Apple sells is that you have to keep it flat on the surface and then it acts like normal wireless chargers that discourage use while the iPhone charges. This well-built aluminum body stand lets you place the Apple MagSafe puck in the cavity and hold the iPhone vertically while charging. You can keep this stand on your work desk and use the iPhone while it charges.
7. MagSafe Wallet
Apple sells a MagSafe wallet for $59 that snaps onto the back of the iPhone 12 and lets you store your cards. If you don’t wish to spend that much, there are plenty of off-brand wallets that still snap to the back with magnets. These offerings come in 10 different colors and are made with artificial leather. The best part, each wallet costs $13.99.
8. Headphones and Charging Dongle
The headphone jack is a thing of the past, at least for Apple but there are plenty of us who still prefer the superior audio quality offered by wired headphones. This dongle lets you connect a 3.5mm headphone jack to the iPhone and as this accessory is MFI certified, you can even charge your iPhone while listening to music.
9. Silicone Case for MagSafe Puck
If you use the MagSafe Puck sold by Apple then you must have realized by now that it’s slippery. Being made from aluminum, there’s no friction and the metallic scraping sounds a lot like nails on a chalkboard. This silicone case covering envelops the aluminum body and increases the grip making it completely silent. It’s a must-have. Buy Silicone Case for MagSafe Puck ($1.84, AliExpress)
10. MagSafe Battery Pack for iPhone 12
This was one of the first things that came to mind when I was watching the keynote for iPhone 12 and I’m so glad it exists already. It’s a 5000mAh battery pack that snaps on to the back of the iPhone 12 with magnets and charges the iPhone wirelessly. The battery pack is Qi-compatible and can charge your iPhone with up to 15W speed. It’s super convenient and you don’t need to worry about any wires as you do with traditional power banks. Buy MagSafe Battery Pack ($25, AliExpress)
11. MagSafe Magnet Array
If you’re someone who wishes to create their own MagSafe compatible accessories for fun or your Etsy shop. You’re going to want this little magnet array that makes every MagSafe accessory compatible with the iPhone 12. It’s a magnet array in the same configuration as the magnets inside the iPhone 12. You can easily incorporate the module inside your project and gain MagSafe compatibility. You can use this module to create custom cases or anything else that you can imagine putting on the back of your iPhone. Buy Wireless MagSafe Array ($2.99, AliExpress)
